NEC3 Supply Contract and Supply Short Contract - now launched 

Are your supply contracts still run on a bespoke or in-house format with all of the inherent challenges that entails? 

NEC has launched the first standardised terms for both complex and simple purchasing of domestic and international supply. Launched in February 2010 and accompanied by explanatory Guidance Notes and Flow Charts, these new documents enable NEC3 to be used as a complete procurement solution across Works, Services and Supply.

'Supply' includes supply of high risk/value goods and associated services such as transformers, turbine rotors, rolling stock, loading bridges, transmission plant and cable, process plant together with the lower risk/value goods and associated services such as building materials, simple plant and eqiuipment, stationery, PPE, manufacturing parts, components and store items.

NEC3 Supply Contract

This contract should be used for local and international procurement of high value goods and related services including design.

 


 

NEC3 Supply Short Contract

This contract should be used for local and international procurement of goods under a single order or on a batch order basis, and is for use with contracts which do not require sophisticated management techniques and impose only low risks on both the Purchaser and the Supplier.
