Q. What is NEC3 Digital?
A - NEC3 digital enables the secure electronic delivery to practitioners of the entire NEC suite of documents. This makes the day-to-day experience of using the contract more flexible and convenient, and simultaneously safeguards the integrity and security of the contract itself.
Q. What are the benefits of NEC3 Digital compared to the hard copy?
A - Having a digital licence would enable you to gain quick access to the contract and more so the particular clause you need. With ePrint you are able to print the actual conditions contract out (in pdf format). It is a browser based application. Depending on the type of the licence you can view and print the contract document (see grid above).
Q. Can I print the Contract Data and Forms?
A - Yes - you are able to print, edit and email these from a word format with each licence type.
Q. Is it easy to setup? How quick will I be able to access my documents?
A - The digital parts are also activated within the same day.
Q. Are there any security implications for my company network?
A - For eView or ePrint licences you would be required to download a small plugin called an unsealer, which would enable you to open the documents and protect your licence against others accessing this.
Troubleshooting
Q. I have tried to open my digital contracts have a message "page cannot be displayed"
A - This sounds like a problem with the unsealer software not being fully installed. Go to your control panel and see if the unsealer is present, if it is remove this.
Then go back to our homepage (www.neccontract.com) and choose to SAVE > OPEN FOLDER and when prompted restart your PC and then log in.
It could also mean you have firewall or popup blocker issues with your server, please check with your IT department if you are not sure as some adjustments may need to be made or they may have to download the unsealer on your behalf. If after you have restarted it still does not work, it may be that your server is unable to cope with the weight of the documents, this is easily fixed by splitting the licence up, please contact kate.martin@neccontract.com.
Q. I have logged into the mynec and it says "you have 0 nec contracts"?
A - This means you have not entered the correct full users email address or this has been purchased on behalf of yourself by a colleague OR you have not adjusted the drop down menu to a different format of licence i.e ePrint.
Q. I wish to have access on more than 1 PC under the same organisation and I have an ePrint licence.
Q. I am not able to print out the PDFs, what can I do?
A - If you have an eView licence you are not permitted to print, you can upgrade to ePrint if you require a print out facility, please contact kate.martin@neccontract.com
Q. I wish to email my contract clauses to another person in my organisation.
A - You can only do this with an eCorporate licence. The Contract Data and Forms can be emailed under each licence type.
