L06320 - NEC3: Managing Risk under the ECC
The course includes
- Free copy of the NEC3 Engineering and Construction Contract (ECC)(retail value £30.00)
The Risk Register is a key aspect of the ECC and the use of it is instrumental in identifying and managing the risks associated with a project and the actions which need to be taken to avoid or reduce those risks. This brand new, one day workshop will enable delegates to fully understand all aspects of risk under the ECC and how to manage it through the Risk Register and other key procedures within the contract.
Objectives
At the end of the workshop participants should be able to:
- Understand how NEC3 contracts support effective project risk management
- Understand the relationship between the Risk Register required by the ECC and a project risk register which may be used by the project team
- Understand how the Risk Register is adapted and changed through the lifetime of a project through the use of early warnings
- Understand how early warnings relate to compensation events, and how the Accepted Programme helps in their management
- Be able to apply these principles on a real project
