Public sector procurement

Public Sector Procurement
NEC suite of contracts encourage collaboration and fit within the CCS Buildings Pillar for both Construction and FM, while promoting Government innovations such as Building Information Modelling (BIM).

CROWN COMMERCIAL SERVICE (CCS),the UK government agency providing commercial services to the public sector, has introduced an agreement for the provision of Total Facilities Management (TFM) and offers a full range of hard and soft FM. This agreement is based on the NEC3 Term Service Contract which is intended to be used for the appointment of a service supplier.

CCS and NEC have a Memorandum of Understanding outlining NEC3 as best practice in procurement. NEC offers guidance, support and easy access to its services on procurement for CCS clients and suppliers.

NEC has collaborated extensively with CCS, including training CCS staff, helping with tender documentation and providing a variety of services to CCS. Clients and suppliers are advised to use NEC for training and organisational support during scoping, tender and supply of services.

It is the only programme available on the NEC3 Term Service Contract tailored to, and approved by, CCS. The programme focusses specifically on a contract form that is both approved and recommended by Government for use across all public sector service providers.
