NEC new business development director boosts south east Asia presence

Hong Kong based Letty Ma will lead a new TTL branch dedicated to support growing international interest in the NEC contracts. NEC, the recommended contract for all public sector construction procurement in Hong Kong, has made a new appointment to support Thomas Telford Limited (TTL) as it works with existing and potential partners such as the Singapore Government.

Having taken up her position on 22 January, Letty will build a new team during the course of the year to support regional NEC activities such as accreditation training and advisory services as it looks to roll out the new NEC4 suite of contracts.

Letty joins TTL from research and advisory company CEB (now Gartner) where she was Business Director, North Asia, responsible for running a team which developed and drove business across the region. She managed a client portfolio worth over US $1.5m annually. Educated at the Universities of Louisville and Winnipeg, she previously held business development roles at China Talent Group, SuccessFactors and Softscape.

"I am delighted to be joining TTL at a time when interest in NEC Contracts across Asia is at an all-time high," Letty says. "More and more clients are realising the value of the NEC suite of products which help deliver large engineering projects on time and on budget. I am looking forward to further growing the business and building on the huge successes that NEC has already had."

TTL has also announced that Rekha Thawrani, has now been appointed Global Head NEC Contracts and General Manager ICE Training.  Rekha will oversee growth and support of the NEC suite of products globally.
