5 July. 8 – 9am PET.
Join us for 4 complimentary webinars over the 5, 6, 7 & 8 July from 8-9am PET time which will explore the NEC suite of contracts and why they are gaining popularity in Peru and Latin America.
NEC contracts were a key part of Britain’s successful 2017 bid to act as the Peruvian government’s delivery partner for circa £300 million/ US$400 million of venues and facilities for the Lima 2019 Pan American and Parapan Games. The UK Government Department for International Trade (DIT) engaged Arup, Mace and 4Global to provide technical, construction management and legacy support respectively.
Lima 2019 President Carlos Neuhous Tudela said that NEC contracts, ‘are designed by engineers to carry out the works in an efficient manner’ and had dispute mechanisms ‘that did not let the works stop’.
The webinars will begin with an introductory session on collaborative contracting and why it is being recognised as best practice in the construction industry, followed by a session explaining how NEC is a global contract designed for use in any legal jurisdiction; the following day will examine NEC dispute resolution procedures before concluding with a Lima 2019 case study.
We look forward to seeing you there!
