All NEC accreditations are valid for five years from the date of certification. This online module is an assessment to renew your NEC3 Service Manager Accreditation.
The assessment is designed to test:
- that you have retained your knowledge and understanding of the specific NEC contract and role in action
- your ability to identify and act upon the good practice that the contract requires of you and others, and
- that you have the complex technical and practical skills necessary to excel in your role as an NEC3 Service Manager.
You will have six months to complete and pass the renewal assessment. This is comprised of around three months before and three months after the date of your certification. You will be unable to purchase the online module if you are not within that time frame.
The assessment is in one part and is composed of multiple choice questions. Each question is composed of five parts. You will need to score 70% to pass. You will have three attempts to gain the required pass mark.
If you pass, your accreditation will be renewed for a further five years and you will receive a new certificate. You will also be allowed to re-enter the ICE Register for Accredited NEC Professionals and potentially apply for AMICE (subject to your other qualifications).
If you do not pass or do not renew in time, you will need to sit the whole programme again including prerequisites, classroom and assessment.
