Adjudication has been part of the UK construction industry for quite a while now. So what is it and what are the benefits?
Adjudication is a private process where the particulars of the dispute and the outcome are not published. There's no learning opportunity available for industry, which is a shame. The webinar will involve hearing from a practising adjudicator on the various disputes put before him and the decisions he has made.
What can we learn from this from an NEC perspective? In keeping to the privacy rules, all information will be anonymised.
Watch Patrick Waterhouse, Adjudicator and Construction Contracts Consultant, Bowdon Consulting, and Barry Trebes, Projects Director, Mott MacDonald, cover the adjudication process and lessons learned from NEC perspective.
The webinar will cover the following:
-
What is adjudication and what are the benefits?
-
How much adjudication is there?
-
How is it used in the world?
-
What are the common causes of disputes that come to be adjudicated?
-
Are there any lessons for NEC we can learn from adjudication?
