Use of NEC3 in New Zealand and Australia is increasing. Over the last 5 years more and more projects have been procured and delivered under the NEC3. In New Zealand alone, NEC3 is currently being used on projects worth in excess of $19million.

The successful establishment of an NEC Australasia Users’ Group in 2011, giving better local access to dedicated NEC support networks, confirms that the NEC3 is becoming the contract of choice for many clients.

As interest in contract partnering grows in New Zealand, more and more clients and contractors are turning to the NEC3 to fulfil the requirements for a contract that enables a better working relationship between the parties, leading to greater cost and time efficiencies.

Through a combination of strategy, case studies and interactive discussions for delegates, this conference looked to answer that recurring question for the Australasia region:‘NEC3, what’s in it for me?!’
