NEC Contracts in Peru & Latin America - Webinar series
Join us for 4 complimentary webinars over the 5, 6, 7 & 8 July from 8-9am PET time which will explain the NEC suite of contracts and why they are gaining popularity in Peru and Latin America. NEC contracts were a key part of Britain’s successful 2017 bid to act as the Peruvian government’s delivery partner for around £300 million of Lima 2019 Pan American and Parapan Games venues and facilities. The UK Department for International Trade DIT engaged Arup, Mace and 4Global to provide technical, construction management and legacy support respectively. Lima 2019 President Carlos Neuhous Tudela said that NEC contracts, ‘are designed by engineers to carry out the works in an efficient manner’ and had dispute mechanisms ‘that did not let the works stop’. The webinars will begin with an introductory session on collaborative contracting and why it is being recognised as best practice in industry, followed by a session on how NEC can be applied as a global contract in any legal jurisdiction; the following day will examine NEC dispute resolution procedures before concluding with a Lima 2019 case study.
