This one day training course considers the practicalities of preparing and pricing projects using the Engineering and Construction Contract (ECC). The syllabus offers invaluable practical guidance on completing the Works Information, Contract Data, pricing documents and Site Information for an ECC contract.

Case Studies
At various times during the programme, delegates will be split into small groups to review a series of case studies designed to illustrate the practical aspects of preparing and pricing ECC contract documents for construction and engineering projects. The topics to be dealt with in these case studies will be chosen by the tutor to suit the experience and competence of the delegates. Matters covered may include:

  • Selection of main and secondary Options for different projects
  • Writing clear and objective WI
  • How do you deal with unknowns?
  • Ambiguities and inconsistencies within the WI and SI
  • The relationship between the WI and the Activity Schedule or Bill of Quantities Practical aspects of preparing the Contract Data
