NEC Spotlight Campaign 2019

Global adoption of NEC has been rising and it remains the contract of choice in the UK; use of the contract suite is continually being used in more innovative and inventive ways. Our core focus has continued to be in the procurement of works, services and supplies whilst promoting collaborative working behaviours between contractors, suppliers and project managers.

There are many exciting projects that are using NEC this year and we are shining a spotlight on some to give you a comprehensive look into those sectors – we will be giving be giving particular focus to Water, Transport, Building and Facilities Management.  We shall also continue to showcase how NEC is being used around the world – in different markets and industries.

Major UK works already on the horizon in those sectors include High Speed 2, Highways England smart motorways, Network Rail digital railway programme, Thames Tideway Super Sewer, Houses of Parliament Refurbishment, Heathrow Terminals, Hinkley Point C and many others within the UK under its belt.

Globally NEC has been adopted for major works include Happy Valley Storm Water Storage Scheme (Hong Kong), Lima 2019 Pan American Games stadiums and athlete’s village (Peru), University of Mpumalanga (South Africa), Transnet Port Expansions for East London, Port of Ngqura and Port Elizabeth (South Africa), Indira Gandhi International Airport Terminal 3 (India), Christchurch International Airport - Airside Civil Work (New Zealand), Mt Mercer Wind Farm (Australia) and many others.
