NEC4 Project Manager Accreditation now available in Blended format

NEC4 Project Manager Accreditation now available in Blended format

To support the growing demands for a more flexible programme, NEC’s gold standard training course is now available in a blended format. As an alternative to the traditional four-day training course offered for the Project Manager Accreditation (PMA), the blended format offers an enhanced learner experience and greater flexibility to study at a time and place to suit.

The blended learning consists of around 30 hours of online learning and a one-day tutor led consolidation session. Successful completion of the training programme and assessment will enable a delegate to describe themselves as an accredited NEC4 Project Manager, an industry recognised standard.

NEC has implemented the best adult learning techniques into the programme, making it more interactive, coupled with case studies, activities and tests throughout to confirm knowledge retention. The system includes an intuitive navigation system and option for delegates to track their progress. The online learning is split into 17 bite-sized modules. The topics covered include Risk Management, Compensation events, Schedule of Cost components, Dispute Resolution and more.

The one-day tutor led session is delivered virtually and offers attendees an opportunity to ask questions to a recognised NEC expert. The session will focus on consolidating the learning from the online modules and putting the contract into practice. During this day, delegates will also be given the skills to prepare for the final assessment.

The Project Manager Accreditation programme equips practitioners with a high-level skill set that enables them to execute their roles as NEC project leaders knowledgeably, confidently and to an internationally recognised standard.

Ian Heaphy, NEC Contract Board Member said "The NEC Project Manager Accreditation (PMA) is recognised worldwide and it’s renowned as an NEC’s gold standard training. The PMA, which provides practitioners the advanced technical and practical skills to confidently fulfil the requirements of a managerial role on projects, has now been brought into a blended format.

The PMA blended format delivers the same gold standard experience in an accessible and engaging format, allowing delegates to complete the course at times, locations and a pace to suit their own requirements. This programme contains extensive practical examples and engaging learning techniques to ensure delegates are ready to undertake the formal accreditation assessment, including a day’s online face to face training with an expert tutor."

The first blended course is now available to purchase. Access to the online modules will start on 10th April 2023 and the tutor-led session will take place virtually on the 8th June 2023.
