Videna venues completed

The NEC-procured athletics, swimming and cycling venues at Videna for the Lima 2019 Pan American and Parapan American Games are now ready for the opening ceremony on 26 July.

The venues and facilities at Videna and elsewhere in Lima, worth a total of around £300 million, were procured using NEC Engineering and Construction Contracts (ECC) Option F (management contract) for the Peruvian government by a British-government-led delivery team including Arup and Mace.

Last month Lima 2019 president Carlos Neuhaus highlighted NEC’s role in delivering the main construction projects on time and within budget. ‘Because of these contracts’ success, the government is considering the application of the Lima 2019 model in major infrastructure projects,’ he said.
