Having a clear understanding of the key obligations and procedures in an NEC contract has long been recognised to be fundamental to the successful delivery of any project. Echoing good practice in managing NEC procedures will ensure that your NEC contract achieves successful outcomes.

This workshop covers the key obligations and procedures for managing an NEC4 ECC including providing practical guidance on how to implement procedures.

The workshop is suited for all NEC4 ECC forms with the variations in requirements between main Options being detailed. As a way of supporting NEC’s collaborative approach, it is aimed at Clients, Contractors and Project Managers.

This workshop styles training course starts at 09:00 and finishes at 17:00 with refreshment breaks mid-morning and afternoon, plus lunch. All timings, except the start time, are approximate and may be adjusted to suit natural breaks in the sessions.

The day will be spent reviewing a number of case studies covering the key obligations and procedures for managing an NEC4 ECC.

The workshop is essential for those managing an NEC4 ECC contract. It is designed as a second module to the NEC4: Introduction to the ECC course, which has explained the principles, strategy, and contract details of the contract. It will be especially useful to those who are working on existing NEC contracts and are keen to develop a deeper understanding and good practice techniques within their organisation. This would include:

  • Experienced professionals involved in managing and delivering contracts, and
  • Procurers, estimators and other bid professionals
