Mock Dispute Resolution Process Webinar

Mock Dispute Resolution Process Webinar

NEC will be holding a ‘Mock Dispute Resolution Process’ webinar on Monday 4th October 2021. The session will look at the NEC contractual process for dealing with disagreements and how to effectively resolve and avoid disputes in order to prevent expensive and time-consuming negotiations and ultimately deliver the best project outcomes.

This meeting will have the roles of Project Manager, Client, Contractor, Expert and Adjudicator represented. The speakers will discuss a project scenario which looks at how bad practices and behaviours can result in costly disputes, and demonstrate how the effective use of NEC procedures such as early warnings and issuing revised and up-to-date programmes can help avoid disputes altogether.

The webinar will be interactive and engaging, with an online demonstration on how to effectively resolve and avoid disputes, and there will be the opportunity for delegates to participate in a live Q&A session.

Speakers featured on this webinar include:

  • Ian Heaphy, NEC4 Project Board Member
  • Matthew Garratt, Commercial Director, Costain, and Chartered Surveyor and Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators
  • Nisha Desai, Associate Director - Commercial (Consultancy), Mace
  • Julie Forsyth, Specialist Construction and Engineering Lawyer, Gunnercooke LLP, and UK Country Representative of the Dispute Resolution Board Foundation (DRBF)

The webinar, which is expected to be very popular, will be of particular relevance to contractors and their supply chain, project managers, clients and their advisers, consultants, and legal sector representatives.

It will be delivered virtually on Monday 4 October from 11am-12pm (GMT+1). To register for the session, please visit the webinar page.
