Following on FAQ "Purchasing Equipment", if items 23 and 24 were deleted from the schedule of cost components, how would we be compensated?
You would only be left with items 21 and 22 of the schedule of cost components to recover monies for such equipment. Assuming you own the equipment, item 22 is appropriate. You would be left to determine an ‘open market rate’ for such equipment multiplied by the time for which the equipment is required. The purchase price, re-sale price or scrap price would therefore be irrelevant.
The same answer would apply if using the NEC4 ECC in a similar way.
