Early Contractor Involvement (ECI) is a secondary option (X22) available for use with the NEC4 Engineering and Construction Contract (Options C or E). This practice note gives advice on best practice relating to the key aspects of preparing and procuring an ECI contract, together with advice on the setting of the total of the Prices (commonly known as the target price) for Stage Two of the contract.
