About
Risk Management throughout Supply Chain - London

This one day workshop focuses on management of risk throughout the supply chain. It is imperative for projects to have effective supply chain risk management and ensure that business continuity plans are in place. Management of supply chain risk is a challenge across all commercial sectors. On large projects the supply chains themselves are often complicated and it can be difficulto to gain insight on this network of sub-contractors. Despite this there is increasing pressure on the industry to manage and mitigate these risks.

This workshop will consider how the various contracts and subcontracts complement each other and how to use these contracts effectively to manage risks within a project. The speakers will discuss:
  • How and when should you use NEC subcontracts
  • Hints and tips for using NEC subcontracts
  • How to write the scope for main contracts and subcontracts
  • How to write additional clauses to effectively protect the supply chain and successfully deliver projects on time, on budget and to standard.
The day is run by Rudi Klein, NEC Users' Group President & Chief Executive, SEC Group and Ian Heaphy, NEC4 Contract Board and Director at IN Construction Consulting
