This eLearning module will
introduce users to the NEC suite. It will show how NEC contracts have helped transform industry behaviours, show some sample projects let under NEC and how the contracts work alongside other contracts in the suite to provide an integrated procurement solution.
There will also be an outline of a few key features, concepts and processes of NEC including the importance of early warning, the programme and compensation events.
Background
NEC contracts have been transforming industry behaviours and practice since 1991. Founded on the principle of mutual trust and collaboration, they played a key role in the success of projects ranging from significant infrastructure investments to national maintenance contracts and supply.
The suite is uniquely flexible and
can be used for the procurement of works, services and goods across all sectors – including public and private, buildings and infrastructure, plant and equipment – as well as all stages of a project lifecycle, from planning, design and project management to construction, maintenance and facilities management.
