Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning Use Prohibited
All content made available by Thomas Telford Ltd, including but not limited to NEC contracts, contract templates, flowcharts, processes, methodologies, guidance notes, training materials, course content, presentations, publications, reports, diagrams, graphics, software, databases, tools, website content, downloadable resources, and all other materials, whether published or unpublished, are protected by copyright, database rights, trade secret rights, and other intellectual property rights owned by or licensed to Thomas Telford Ltd.
Except where expressly authorised in writing by Thomas Telford Ltd, no person or organisation may:
- Access, collect, scrape, crawl, harvest, extract, copy, reproduce, download, index, ingest, process or store any part of our content for use in connection with any artificial intelligence, machine learning, large language model (LLM), generative AI, predictive AI, neural network, data mining, analytics, knowledge extraction, or automated decision-making system.
- Use our content to train, retrain, fine-tune, validate, benchmark, test, optimise or otherwise develop any AI or machine learning model.
- Use our content as input to, or within, any retrieval augmented generation (RAG) system, vector database, embedding model, agentic AI system, chatbot, virtual assistant, search enhancement tool, automated summarisation tool, content generation platform or similar technology.
- Generate derivative works, synthetic content, datasets, knowledge bases, model outputs or AI-generated materials based on or derived from our content.
- Use our content to improve, support, evaluate or operate any commercial or non-commercial AI system or service.
- Permit any third party, vendor, contractor, customer or technology provider to use our content for any of the purposes described above.
This prohibition applies whether the content is obtained directly from our website, training platforms, documents, publications, presentations, electronic communications, subscription services, customer portals, or through any other means.
Any use of our content in connection with artificial intelligence or machine learning technologies requires the prior written consent and explicit endorsement of Thomas Telford Ltd. Absence of technical restrictions shall not be interpreted as permission. Any unauthorised use is strictly prohibited and may constitute infringement of intellectual property rights, breach of contract, unlawful extraction of proprietary information, and may result in legal action.
