Latin American Spanish version of NEC4 PSC published

NEC reinforced its commitment to the wider adoption of NEC contracts across Latin America last month (August 2025) with the release of the official Latin American Spanish translation of the NEC4 Professional Service Contract (PSC), along with its user guides and introductory training course.

Second most popular contract

PSC is the second most popular NEC4 contract after the NEC4 Engineering and Construction Contract (ECC), the Latin American Spanish version of which was launched in March 2025. They will be joined later this year by the official translation of the NEC4 Facilities Management Contract (FMC).

New guidance documents

In June 2025, NEC published a series of four articles for NEC users on the UK government’s Construction Playbook (see page 3), plus a guidance note on the UK Building Safety Act. NEC has also produced guidance on using NEC4 ECC for underground works where a geotechnical baseline report is used.

Following NEC’s acquisition of the Framework Alliance Contract (FAC-1) in May 2025, a practice note on multiparty collaboration has been prepared. This gives guidance on options for appointment of several contractors, consultants and suppliers in a collaborative arrangement, and how NEC contracts work with FAC-1
