Description

Overview

Commercial management is about using contract framework, such as NEC3, to deliver business objectives.

Within an NEC3 framework the role of the commercial manager is to manage a commercial plan that includes managing contracts and finances, identifying and managing risk, and resolving disputes. A solid commercial management plan is essential in order to provide a robust governance framework and associated assurance that commercial aspects of the NEC3 Engineering and Construction Contract (ECC) are managed correctly.

This instructive training course is designed to equip delegates with the skills necessary to be able to professionally manage commercial contracts and relationships using the ECC. It extracts key aspects from day three of the popular ECC Project Manager Accreditation programme to offer a  consolidated one day programme that focusses specifically on the commercial elements of an ECC project.

Why enrol?

  • Gain an appreciation of what commercial management means under the ECC
  • Understand the core, main and secondary Option clauses that affect commercial management
  • Appreciate the need for the 'right' team ethos (mutual trust and cooperation)
  • Be clear on how to develop a commercial management plan in practice
  • Benefit from peer reviewed content and expert delivery from an NEC specialist
