Project scope:
The Canal & River Trust (formerly British Waterway) procures approx. £57m of infrastructure maintenance and renewal annually via NEC contracts. The Trust, which was created as a charity in 2012, and British Waterways before it, has embraced NEC and its principles since the late 1990s with its first NEC partnering engineering contracts established in 2000. The contracts now deliver a wide variety of work including Engineering and Construction, MEICA, Professional Services, Ground Investigation, Dredging, Vegetation and Environmental Services, Property Maintenance, Waste Management and Diving.
