The NEC Users’ Group Conference on 21−23 June 2021 will again take place online due to the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic. Like last year, the conference will feature separate morning and afternoon sessions of around 90 minutes, with tickets being available for each session or the whole event. In the first session on 21 June, key speakers from government and industry will consider how effective use of NEC can encourage better, greener projects to support the UK’s commitment to net zero greenhouse gas emissions and reduce emissions from built-environment projects worldwide. This session will be opened by Rachel Skinner, president of the Institution of Civil Engineers. The following morning session of 22 June will examine examples of how NEC is being applied in a variety of sectors. It will explore practical uses of NEC on real projects for procuring works, services and supplies.
