NEC Digital went live back in November, and a launch party was held in December at the Institution of Civil Engineers on One Great George Street, London to mark the occasion and celebrate the people that helped make it happen.

As the saying goes, it takes a village, and multiple stakeholders leveraged their expertise and knowledge to help create Thomas Telford Limited (TTL)’s new flagship product NEC Digital, transforming construction contract drafting into a dynamic, digital affair. In December, TTL held a launch party to recognise everyone’s contributions and celebrate the launch of NEC Digital.

Andrea Naylor, Managing Director of TTL, kicked off the party with a video message and Eela Devani, TTL’s Product and Data Director, hosted the event.

Devani said, ‘We reached a major milestone in 2025 with the launch of our first digital product, NEC Digital, which marks a new chapter for us as an organisation. We transformed the NEC Contracts content and what was an analogue user experience into a clear, intuitive interface and end-to-end customer journey.’

‘We could not have achieved this without the support of our internal teams and external partners. For the first time, customers can create infrastructure and building contracts online, moving contract creation to a collaborative digital experience.’

Metataxis, a company who helped audit, migrate and model NEC Contract data, received a Recognition of Participation award. ‘We are delighted to receive this award from TTL for our content migration work for NEC Digital’, said Marc Stephenson, the company Director.

‘It has been a pleasure working on the project and seeing this document-based environment transition into an intuitive, cloud-based platform, designed to modernise how users interact with NEC Contracts.’

The launch party was a huge success, attended by NEC tutors, consultants and subject matter experts such as Tim Knee-Robinson and Andrea Rae, as well as members of the NEC4 Contract Board, including the Chair Peter Higgins himself, all of whom have been actively involved in the creation of NEC Digital.

Afterwards, there was plenty of buzz on social media. Jurga Žilinskienė MBE, founder and CEO of multilingual technology agency Guildhawk (who also assisted with content migration) likened the event to the Oscars on her LinkedIn profile.
