Project scope:
The WEM Framework was set up to deliver capital project delivery of flood defences for customers in England. The Framework has been created and managed by the Environment Agency, but is available to all flood Risk Management Authorities for the purposes of  delivery of flood defence schemes. To date 67 RMAs have signed up to using the WEM Framework, clearly perceiving advantages to delivering flood defence work under the same framework nationally. The suppliers are some of the best in their field and have a mature and developed manner of working together, facing issues in a united manner and pre-empting issues and solving them together. To date 215 ECC contracts and 1111 PSC contracts have been awarded under the framework. The NEC structure has allowed us to manage Health Safety and Welfare and the environment and uphold the core principles of our company.
